Art History faculty in collaboration with Boston鈥檚 ICA features New Bedford native and internationally celebrated artist Mark Dion.
In October 2017, The Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston will host "Mark Dion: Misadventures of a 21st Century Naturalist", the largest American Survey to date of the artist work.
This symposium takes place in conjunction with Mark Dion鈥檚 survey exhibition at the Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston.
The symposium begins at the , in Mark Dion鈥檚 hometown, where the artist will deliver a keynote speech. It continues the next day at the ICA. The Whaling Museum event is organized by Art History Professor Pamela Karimi, in conjunction with the Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston (ICA/Boston). Other activities related to Mark Dion's show at the ICA involve contributions by Art History Professor Rebecca Uchill.
