Panel of experts will discuss 鈥淲hat Now? -- Lessons of the mid-terms鈥

The Public鈥檚 Radio, the National Public Radio affiliate serving Southeastern 糖心logo入口 and Rhode Island, will host a post-election analysis panel discussion at UMass Dartmouth鈥檚 Robert F. Stoico/FIRSTFED Grand Reading Room, Claire T. Carney Library on Thursday, November 8, at 4 p.m.

The discussion, entitled 鈥淲hat Now? 鈥 Lesson of the mid-terms鈥 will feature the following panelists:

John Della Volpe, Director of Polling at the Harvard Kennedy School Institute of Politics, where he has led polling initiatives on understanding American youth since 2000.

Scott Mackay, The Public鈥檚 Radio political analyst, who has spent 30 years covering New England politics.

LaSella Hall, Associate Director of the UMass Dartmouth Frederick Douglas Unity House and a doctoral candidate in the Humanities with a dual concentration in African American Studies and Political Science.

Dr. Shannon Jenkins, UMass Dartmouth political science professor, whose research focuses on state legislatures, female politicians, and political parties.

The discussion will be moderated by UMass Dartmouth Journalism Lecturer Caitlin O鈥橬eil Amaral who manages the SouthCoast Journalism Alliance, a partnership between the university and The Public鈥檚 Radio.

Welcoming remarks will be provided by The Public鈥檚 Radio News Director Elisabeth Harrison.
