Antivirus

All computers connected to the campus network are required to have up-to-date antivirus software installed and enabled. University-owned macOS and Windows computers have Microsoft Defender installed automatically.

Mathematica

Mathematica is available to students, faculty, and staff from . Use your UMassD email address to sign in and download Wolfram Mathematica, Wolfram|Alpha Notebook Edition, or access Wolfram|Alpha Pro.

Matlab

Matlab is available to students, faculty, and staff from Mathworks. User your UMassD email address to sign into the . Download MATLAB and access documentation and training via the Mathworks portal.

Microsoft Office 365

Microsoft Office (Mac/Windows) is available to students, faculty, and staff from Microsoft on up to 5 devices. Visit the and log in using your UMassD Logon information. In the upper-right of the portal page, click the Install Office apps menu, and choose an installation option.

Qualtrics

Qualtrics is web-based and does not require a download. It is available to students, faculty, and staff via most modern web browsers. Visit the Qualtrics page for more information.

Schrodinger

Schrodinger Software Suite is available to students, faculty, and staff. Faculty and staff can install the software via Self Service on their university-owned devices. Students should contact the IT Service Center for access. Contact the IT Service Center for more information.

VMWare Fusion

Zoom

Zoom is our campus-wide teleconference solution. Two types of software licenses are available:

All Users: A Basic license allows users to host an unlimited number of one-to-one meetings (meeting host and one participant) with no time limit. A basic license has a 40-minute time limit on meetings with three or more total participants. All UMass Dartmouth students, faculty, and staff have access to basic licenses.
Faculty and Staff: A Pro-license allows users to host an unlimited number of meetings of unlimited length for up to 300 participants. Faculty receive Pro licenses automatically and can use Zoom through Canvas. Faculty and staff should use our (login required) for more information.

To install and get started with Zoom, use the instructions below. Note that the Laptop Refresh Program computers and most university-owned computers already have Zoom installed. Faculty and staff who have received an email invitation from Zoom should Activate a Zoom License (PDF) instead.

Adobe Creative Cloud

The Adobe Creative Cloud suite allows each faculty and staff member one installation on a personally-owned computer, and one on a university-owned computer. It includes Acrobat DC, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere, and other software titles. On university-owned computers, faculty and staff can use Self Service to install Creative Cloud.

Zoom Webinars

Zoom Webinars allow you to broadcast a Zoom meeting to view-only participants. UMass Dartmouth offers an event (license) capacity of 500 attendees.

UMass Dartmouth has a limited number of webinar licenses that can be shared with users. Please submit a request using the link below at least 10 business days before your event for the license to be applied to your Zoom account. This will also ensure you have time to set up your event and invite your attendees.
